From I-5 take the James Street exit heading East (up the hill toward Capitol Hill)
At the top of the hill James Street bends to the right and merges with Cherry Street.
Follow Cherry Street to 23rd Ave, and turn right onto 23rd (heading South).
Garfield High School is about a block south of the corner of 23rd and Cherry.
Proceed south on 23rd for about two blocks to Alder Street (and past Ezell's Chicken Restaurant), and turn left (heading East).
Alder goes along the back side of the High School.
Go to the far end of the school, to the Southeast corner of the building, and park.
Enter through the two steel/glass doors at the SE corner of the school (go up the steps to enter).
The band room is down the hall about 50 feet.
